Welcome 6th International Medical Congress of Armenia
OUR HISTORY
The International Medical Congress of Armenia is the largest event of Pan-Armenian significance with a long history. Since 1967, every three, then every four years, conferences of Armenian doctors from all over the world have been held in the Diaspora under the name of “Armenian Medical World Congress”. In 2001, an agreement reached between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia (RA) and the Armenian Medical International Committee established the tradition of holding biennial congresses alternately in Diaspora and Armenia
In accordance with this, in 2003, the First International Medical Congress of Armenia was held for the first time in the capital of Armenia, the city of Yerevan. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Congresses were held consecutively in 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. The 6th International Medical Congress of Armenia will be held on July 6-8, 2023 in Armenia and Artsakh. In the Diaspora, International Medical Congresses were held in 2001, 2005, 2009, 2013 and 2017 in Toronto, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Buenos Aires, . These congresses are traditionally attended by thousands of physicians, medical professionals and healthcare professionals.
COURSE OF THE CONGRESS
At plenary sessions held within the framework of the Congress, lectures are given by world-renowned scientists on medical discoveries and advanced methods of treatment, scientific sections of various fields of medicine are organized with reports covering modern research. The third day of the Congress is traditionally devoted to the presentation of various programs aimed at healthcare and medical education within the Armenia-Diaspora cooperation. Within the framework of the Congress, thematic satellite symposiums and seminars are also organized, where lectures by recognized experts are presented, actual issues of practical medicine are discussed. This makes it possible to involve a much larger number of participants in the work of the Congress, presenting them with thematic lectures on the latest achievements in medicine and contemporary methods of treatment. The Congress also gives scientists from Armenia and abroad the opportunity to present scientific articles, which subsequently find a place in the reports presented within the framework of the Congress and are published in the proceedings of the Congress.
The work of the congress is coordinated by the Organizing Committee of the Congress, and the scientific part is coordinated by the Scientific Committee of the Congress.
OUR MISSION
The mission of the 6th International Medical Congress of Armenia, which will be held from July 6 to 8, 2023 in Armenia under the auspices of the “Medical Congress” Foundation, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, the Armenian Medical International Committee (AMIC), is to strengthen Armenia-Diaspora ties, discussing the challenges facing the healthcare systems of Armenia and Artsakh, setting priorities and facilitating the exchange and localization of best practices in healthcare and medicine.
